Sacred Movement workshop(class) with Juniper Talbot. Since ancient times, our ancestors have expressed their connection
to the earth with joyful, meditative, celebratory and sacred movements. Join together to experience the spiritual and up-lifting
movement practices of ancient earth-centered traditions, especially those of the ancient Celts.
We will learn and develop spirit-filled movements that call up our deep connection to the natural world, as we open to
our roots, our wings, our source. By honoring the mysteries, we celebrate life!
Wear loose and comfortable clothing. Bare feet are preferred. Bring a water bottle and a journal.
JUNIPER TALBOT has been a practioner and leader of Celtic spirituality for over 20 years. As a professional dancer, she
has toured widely, especially to Europe and the British Isles to teach and perform both traditional and creative dance/ritual
pieces based on her connection to the earth and to ancient Celtic ways. In the summer of 2004, Juniper was chosen as one
of the delegates representing Celtic spirituality to offer her workshop "Dancing With the Earth" at the Parliament
of World's Religions held in Barcelona. She is also a certified Birth Doula and the creator of Birth Dance!, a moving experience

A Moving Experience, especially for pregnant women
led by Juniper Talbot CD(DONA)
Giving birth can be an ecstatic experience. In this workshop, we will explore movements of many cultures which women have
used for centuries to create ease-ful and ecstatic childbirth experiences.
Using such ancient and innovative tools and techniques as the birthing ball, the birthing shawl and "the birthing
tree", we will engage in gentle and joy-filled movements, to the sounds of inspiring music. Together, we will dance our
own luscious and sacred Birth Dance, as we prepare the way for new life!
Although the class is especially geared toward pregnant women, it can be an up-lifting and effective dance/exercise class
for anyone.
Please wear comfortable clothes for moving freely and bring a water bottle. Bring a sarong and/or birth/exercise ball
if you have one. Some will be provided.
Juniper Talbot is a Birth Doula who has been actively attending birthssince her certification with Doulas of North America
in 1998. She is also a professional dancer and dance teacher who specializes in ancient and creative forms of sacred dance.
